Enjoying the Journey

America is in desperate need of revival. Our nation needs the healing that only God’s holy presence can bring. But great awakenings never begin as national movements – they begin as personal meetings with God. Spiritual awakenings come when God’s people connect their prayers to God’s purpose.

I am frequently asked when I plan to write a book. Through the years I have learned that speaking and writing are very different! Pastor Sexton gave me two pieces of advice early on: begin with small writing projects and don’t publish anything until you are 40. Wise counsel. I began nine years ago writing short articles on our Enjoying the Journey blog. Now, at 43 years of age, I am burdened to share some things with a wider audience.

During our “quarantine” period the Lord providentially worked to allow me to write a book on Revival Praying. The book draws widely from the best of what others have written on the subject, and deals specifically with the revival praying of Ezra found in Scripture. There really is a difference between “praying for revival” and revival praying.

Is revival possible in our generation? The Lord Jesus Christ said, “with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). God is able to do more in a moment than we could in a lifetime. The problem is not with His lack of power but with our lack of preparation.

Revival cannot be manufactured or manipulated. In Revival Praying you will discover how one of the great prayers of the Bible can serve as a pattern for our prayer. The God who is a consuming fire will work if we will build the altar.

In preparation for the book release we have posted 5 messages from the book of Ezra on our Youtube channel. These were given recently in one of the first revival meetings after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted. I hope you will watch them and begin to study this little book of “Return and Revival.” Each message gives more context to the passage of Scripture on which Revival Praying concentrates.

Now…for the book. We have decided to provide the digital version of Revival Praying at no cost. It is my prayer that the book will lead many to the kind of praying that may bring spiritual awakening in our land.

E-book Version

Beginning one week from today, Monday, June 8, you will be able to download Revival Praying for free from both iBooks and Kindle. At the end of the book there is a link where you can make a donation to further the resource to others. If God leads you to give something this will enable us to continue producing this type of content.

Hardback Edition

Also beginning next Monday you will be able to pre-order the first edition, hardback book. If you are like me you enjoy holding an actual book in your hands and I believe you will enjoy this beautiful book and want to pass it on to others.

Faithworks Media will carry the book for $12.99. However, they are offering a special pre-order price of $9.99. For bulk orders or bookstore pricing contact Faithworks Media at connect@faithworksmedia.com.

Books will deliver by July 1. You may want to get a number of copies of Revival Praying to encourage others to pray. It is the greatest thing God’s people can do for America right now.

So many of you continue to pray for us and encourage us in the work God has called us to do. Thank you. We hope that this revival resource will be a great blessing to you, your family, and your church. It is wonderful to think that regardless of where we are, or what the circumstances may be in our country, we can all meet together at the throne of God! I hope you will join me in Revival Praying.

Is your free Kindle version for US only? I am in the UK and it’s not available for free on Kindle Amazon.

Is the hardcover available to purchase and ship to the UK?
