When God Changes Your Direction

By Scott Pauley | January 22, 2020 |

Sometimes the straightest line between A and B is not the route God chooses for us. His ways and thoughts truly are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). At times we chart the course and set off toward the destination, only to see God unexpectedly change our direction. If you have been there you know what I am talking about. At these times life can be more than a little disorienting.  Here are some things to remember when God changes your direction: God has not changed. The problem is not with Him, but with us. A thousand and one excuses arise as to why we are not sharing Christ. The devil and our flesh will make sure of it. Here are 7 of the most common and an answer…

By Scott Pauley | January 8, 2020 |

We are one week into the new year. How are you doing with your devotional Bible reading so far? Many believers begin at the first of the year with some goal. Perhaps you have already started. For many of us the first weeks of the year are fairly easy…then comes the daily grind. The routines of life have a way of distracting us from what truly matters. Remember that our time in God’s Word is a marathon – not a sprint. The goal is not to be in the Word for a short period of time but to live in the Word for the rest of your life. Take a new challenge. I have heard of several friends who are…
