Enjoying the Journey
School is out and summer is upon us! These have been exceptionally busy weeks of travel and ministry. So many of you are praying for us and we appreciate it more than words could express. God is answering your prayers.
Last week I had the joy of participating in commencement exercises for my Doctor of Ministry. It was sweet to have Tammy, the kids, my dad, mom, and sister with me for this special time.
“The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage” (Ps. 16:6).
Three things have consumed my thoughts during all of the recent celebration:
- I give all glory to God. I praise the Lord for what He is doing and am honored just to be in His work. More and more I realize that He is so great and I am so needy. What a God we are privileged to serve!
- I am deeply grateful for others. My family, my pastor, and a host of friends have given such support and encouragement. From the depths of my heart, thank you.
- I truly desire more growth in my own life. We never arrive. A course of study may conclude, but the study goes on! Please pray that the Lord will do in my heart all that He desires to do.
And so another season begins…
I love the summer months and the opportunity to minister to so many young people in addition to other meetings. With school out, the family will be traveling with me more frequently. We are excited to see what the Lord has planned in each place.

It is hard to imagine that we are approaching the mid-point of our first year in evangelism. We hope to take a few days to spend with family. This summer is full of transition and I am truly grateful for how God has worked in each of our hearts to prepare us. It has been a joy to hear from so many friends. Encouragers have been God’s messengers to us.
May God bless each of you for standing with us in prayer.
