News About A New Booklet!
Have you wondered in recent weeks what more you can do for your country? On this President’s Day I am excited to announce the publication of a new booklet, The Need of Our Nation. We all are concerned about the direction of our beloved nation and burdened to see a spiritual awakening in our day. This short volume addresses, from God’s Word, the core issue and the only solution. President’s Day was originally set aside to commemorate the birthday of the first president of the United States. For believers, it is also a reminder to pray for our president every day (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Every president is just a man, and like every man, he is a sinner in need…

A little over a month ago we sold out of the hardback edition of Revival Praying. I am truly grateful to God for the reception the book has received in the first few months since its release. All over the country there are groups of believers studying these prayer principles from Ezra 9 and seeking the Lord. Just yesterday I had the joy of giving a brief greeting online to a group of people who are studying through the material together virtually. Because of a large influx of orders and some delay from the printer we have been unable to get the books out as quickly as we would like. I want to thank you for your patience. Faithworks Media…

One of the great joys of my life is the fellowship and friendship we enjoy with the people of God. There is nothing like being in the greatest family on earth! I am very grateful for the connections the Lord continues to give us with His people around the world and the partnership we have in the work of the gospel. I want to ask if you would be willing to help me with a special project that God has given us. As most of you know, during the COVID-19 travel ban we were restricted from a number of scheduled meetings. Yet in the good providence of God it was during that time that the Lord allowed me to write…

This has been an exciting week with the release of Revival Praying on Monday. We have been encouraged by the initial reception to the book and especially the response of many who are seeking the Lord for a spiritual awakening in our day. If you have not yet downloaded your free digital copy or preordered the hardback book you may do so here. At 10:00 this morning my friend Byron Foxx is hosting a webinar to discuss the new book. I look forward to sharing some of the things God has been teaching me during the writing of Revival Praying. Space is limited and it would be an honor if you could join us for a few moments. Please register…

I am not discouraged. Yes, I have watched the news in recent days and have been saddened by the state of affairs in our nation. But God’s people should not be in despair! At the darkest moments in history the Lord has brought the greatest spiritual breakthroughs. We may very well be standing on the verge of a revival in our generation. People are desperate. Hearts are hurting. The best plans and ideas have failed. And that is exactly where we have to come to if we expect to see God at work. The end of us is the beginning of Him. God’s army can only advance on its knees, and this is the time for sincere believers to get…

America is in desperate need of revival. Our nation needs the healing that only God’s holy presence can bring. But great awakenings never begin as national movements – they begin as personal meetings with God. Spiritual awakenings come when God’s people connect their prayers to God’s purpose. I am frequently asked when I plan to write a book. Through the years I have learned that speaking and writing are very different! Pastor Sexton gave me two pieces of advice early on: begin with small writing projects and don’t publish anything until you are 40. Wise counsel. I began nine years ago writing short articles on our Enjoying the Journey blog. Now, at 43 years of age, I am burdened to…

Do you have a difficult time loving some people? Do you struggle to express love to others? Does it seem that even with those you love that your love falls short in so many ways? I am convinced that one of the greatest needs in families, churches, our nation is a fresh understanding and experience of the love of God. We live in a hateful world and people can be so very harsh. Only God’s love can cut through the hardness of sinful hearts. Some time ago we made available an adaptation of Henry Drummond’s classic work on 1 Corinthians 13. I hope you have downloaded your copy and read it through. You may even want to read it on…
