Let’s face it: we all like to be in control. To feel as though we can direct the course of things and determine the outcome. But this mentality works against faith. It is rooted in pride – a belief that we know what is best and deserve to be in control. Ebb and Flow: Dealing with Changing Tides

There are few things as refreshing to me as standing on the shore and watching the ocean waves.  I have always loved it.  In Scripture the sea represents change.  It is never the same. Life’s journey is in many respects a voyage.  We have launched out, but we have not yet landed.  The tide is always changing – it is the ebb and flow of life.  Tides come…and they go.
