Enjoying the Journey

January Meetings & A Word About Our Website

Tomorrow we begin the first meetings of a brand new year. We are grateful to God for allowing us to give the last five years to the work of evangelism and look forward to all God has for us in the days ahead. Thank you for keeping up with us and going with us through prayer. We wanted to give our friends a first glance at something we have been working on for some time… New Ministry Website Later this month we will launch a new ministry website, EnjoyingTheJourney.org. The new site will continue to provide what is currently available at scottpauley.org, but with much more content and a search engine that we believe will be helpful to anyone studying…

The Final Month of a Unique Year

2020 has become a byword for the unexpected and unusual. While we have all laughed and cried at the twists and turns of this year, let me encourage you not to blame 2020. God gave us this year to live and serve. 2020 will forever be a historical marker, but wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could look back and say that was when the Lord began a deep work in our hearts and nation that continued for years to come? As we approach the final month of this unique year I am truly grateful for how the Lord has guided and provided. He always does. Several weeks ago I had a fairly mild case of COVID. My smell and…

Praise and Prayer – Our November Schedule

As we approach this Thanksgiving month I am both grateful and prayerful. The Lord continues to guide and protect us. Week after week we see His hand at work and rejoice to be allowed to serve Christ where He sends us. All glory to our great God! A dear friend texted me recently and pointed out a wonderful verse related to the ministry of the Apostle Paul. Acts 18:23 says, “And after he had spent some time there, he departed, and went over all the country of Galatia and Phrygia in order, strengthening all the disciples.” This is the life of an evangelist – we spend a little time in a place and then leave. But the goal of itinerant…

Our October Schedule

This evening I will fly to Pennsylvania for the first meeting of a new month. It is a privilege to serve the Lord alongside pastors each week. October is designated as “Pastor Appreciation Month” and it is my hope that local churches will do all they can to encourage their pastors during this challenging time. There are varied callings in ministry but all of us are laboring together for the same purpose – God’s purpose. In Ephesians 4:11-13 we read: And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the…

Our July Itinerary & An Update On Two Special Meetings

Change is a reality of life and we have had plenty of reality over the last few months! These are strange but exciting days to be serving the Lord. With God there is always the adventure of faith and the certainty of His guidance. Though the summer schedule is much different than the “norm” we can see the Lord’s hand at each turn. On behalf of our family we want to thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. It has meant a great deal to us to have so many friends keeping up with us at this time. May God bless each of you. Plan to join us in one of these meetings in the coming month if possible……

Our June Itinerary & A Special Announcement

“Truly God is good…it is good for me to draw near to God” (Ps. 73:1, 28). In these unusual days I am reminded that God is good, and that it is good for me to stay as close to Him as possible! Thank you for continuing to pray for us as we seek to fulfill the call of God to preach the gospel, teach the Bible, encourage churches, and help pastors. We sense your prayers and see answers to them every day. This month has been full of drive-in meetings, recorded messages, and online services. These are unique times! You may be interested in watching some of the messages given for churches across the country. They are available on our…

Looking Ahead To May

Someone said that man plans and God laughs. Scripture says it better, “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). In recent weeks we have all been reminded that we may schedule and plan but the final direction is given by God alone. While our itinerary over the last days has been totally changed, in many ways, God has opened up avenues of ministry that we could have never foreseen or planned. In the last month I have had the opportunity of preaching and teaching God’s Word about 40 times through either recorded messages, drive-in meetings, or live online platforms. Only the Lord could have orchestrated this and we praise His name! I am…

The Strangest Schedule We Have Ever Posted!

Tomorrow we begin a brand new month. April is usually filled with revival meetings and Bible conferences, but the Lord has allowed a much different itinerary. Like most of you, our travel is limited and work is adjusted because of the global pandemic. I am not discouraged or worried. In fact, I have great peace in my heart! The Lord is at work when we are not. He is working in this world and He is working in us. Praise His holy name. We may be confined to home but the Holy Spirit is on the move and the Word of God is not bound (2 Timothy 2:9). Our God is not limited by our inability, our resources, or our…

Update On Our Travels

Scott Pauley

These are unusual and exciting days to be serving the Lord. I believe that revival is on the way and whatever God has to rearrange in all of our lives and ministries is up to Him. It is amazing how quickly things can change! As you read these words I am flying back to West Virginia from a wonderful mission conference in Florida. Like everyone we are having to make some unexpected adjustments to our schedule. The following meetings have now been cancelled due to the Coronavirus restrictions and an abundance of caution for the safety of those attending large gatherings: Iron Works Men’s Conference, Saturday, March 21, Charleston, WV. Florida Men’s Advance, Friday-Saturday, March 27-28, Tampa, FL. Fellowship Youth…
