Reading the Christmas Story

Dad and mom made it a practice to read the Christmas story with our family each Christmas morning. As a little boy this was a serious delay in the opening of presents! However, through the years I have come to love this time and Tammy and I continued the tradition with our kids. It is a reminder of who we celebrate. The two narrative accounts of the Christmas story are found in Matthew 1:18-25 and Luke 2:1-20. Quote there is nothing wrong in this world that the Gospel cannot fix

Their names are some of the most famous in all of Christian history. Their writings comprise the first four books of our New Testament. Who are they? Evangelists. It is never recorded that any of them served as a pastor. Every ministers calling is unique and chosen for them by the Holy Spirit. The highest calling is the one that God chooses for your life. They all came from different backgrounds. There were Jews and Gentiles. One was a tax collector, one was a medical doctor, another a fisherman.
