One of the greatest challenges is simply staying connected with the church family in the midst of “social distancing.” As I listened to these good men talk I heard their heart. The shepherd will always find a way! Allow me to share a few of the ways pastors are working to “gather” the sheep… Enabling People To Join A Worship Service Using YouTube,…

Life is not about things “to-do” but about things “to-pray” for. Every event should be an opportunity to pray. The calendar should become part of our prayer list! As I look over our schedule week by week I am praying that in every place the Lord Jesus will be glorified, the Holy Spirit will have liberty, and the Father will be pleased. School is out and summer is upon us! These have been exceptionally busy weeks of travel and ministry. So many of you are praying for us and we appreciate it more than words could express. God is answering your prayers. Last week I had the joy of participating in commencement exercises for my Doctor of Ministry. It was sweet to have Tammy, the kids, my dad, mom, and sister with me for this special time. “The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage” (Ps. 16:6). Three things have consumed my thoughts during all of the recent celebration: I give all glory to God. I praise the Lord for what He is doing and…
Read More5 Lessons I Have Learned About Leading Special Events
Events are not everything; life is made up of many ordinary days. Yet special events are simply a way of emphasizing what is important. We have just returned from our annual Christmas Mission to New York City with the Crown College Choir. God blessed in an unusual way. It is my joy to be involved in many of our conferences and events throughout the year. Every month is an adventure and every event is an education. Coordinating special events is very different from attending them. Nothing just “happens.” Big events are made up of little details and every good thing requires work. Reflecting on so many special events over the last few months, I have come to understand several truths……
