We are one month into the new year! How are your resolutions holding up? I am not a critic of resolutions; they have very often marked turning points in my own life. (More on that here.) The final week of the year is perhaps the strangest week of the year. It is like living in limbo. One year seems all but gone and the next is not yet here. On January 1, 2014 I sat in my study and wrote out ten very specific goals for this year.  They have served as reminders to both pray and pursue in many areas of my life.  As we draw to the end of June I am reminded that the year is now officially half over.  6 months of 2014 are gone forever.  I don’t know what that means to you, but for me it is a sobering reminder that days, and weeks, and months, and years…and life is passing quickly.
