Beginning Tomorrow
It is hard to believe it has been almost a year! The international shutdown at the beginning of the pandemic has become a point of reference in a variety of ways, a turning point for many. During the quarantine we began using a Youtube channel to post Bible messages and words of encouragement. I must tell you that while I appreciate the technology at our disposal, I am very grateful to be back preaching to real people assembled together! However, many of the platforms that God opened for ministry during that unusual season have helped us to connect with people to whom we would not otherwise have ministered. In recent days we have all been reminded of the positive use of technology and online resources for Christians and churches. They are platforms that can be used for the gospel and the encouragement of God’s people! We are increasingly asked where to find our full length Bible messages. Every church uses different platforms to archive their services and some are not available to all. The friends who help us with media have worked hard to archive many of the sermons that I give in revival and evangelistic meetings. Recently we have heard from precious friends who are watching and listening to messages given at recent meetings. Sometimes the churches that we are in livestream their services or archive their messages on their church website. A number of messages have also been made available on sites like Sermon Audio. Like their Chief Shepherd they live “not to be ministered unto, but to minister.” Yet in the midst of busy lives and labors ministers must pause long enough to minister to their own inner man. Too often while Christian workers are building the kingdom they are tearing down their own souls.
