Christians Should Vote!

As Americans citizens we have been blessed – spoiled, in fact – to grow up in freedom. It is a freedom that few have enjoyed throughout history and many will never know. The blessings of God always come with a responsibility, a response of gratitude and obedience.  Christianity is not American, and being American is not Christian. However, American Christians have much for which to answer to God. It is shameful to enjoy liberty and do nothing to exercise and defend that liberty.  Our freedom grew out of strong biblical principles about individual soul liberty. Absentee Christian Citizens

Over the last few days it has been my privilege to be on conference calls with a number of pastors from across the country. We have prayed together that somehow, by God’s grace, the Lord would send another spiritual awakening to our land. I believe 2020 will be a pivotal year for our nation and, more than ever, we need divine intervention! While I do not believe that the answer lies in politicians and government, I am convinced that God’s people must take their place as Christian citizens. How I Am Voting (and you should too)

This week I am preaching a revival meeting in the Washington, D.C. area. My heart has been stirred afresh. The future of our nation hangs in the balance. In just a few days we will elect a new president of the United States. That election will determine more than the presidency. It will decide the course of our Supreme Court and the laws of our land for generations to come. Christians should be the strongest and most concerned citizens in a nation.
